Sensei Chris Betts

I started my Katate journey in 2002 and have thoroughly enjoyed all the years of training and pushing myself to the limit in my Kihon, Kata and Kumite. Bo (staff) is also one of the traditional martial arts weapons that I enjoy practicing.

Currently I’m a 2nd dan and previously qualified as a KUGB instructor. My main focus when not training is on teaching and helping students grow from strength to strength in their karate lessons. I have coached a high number of students over the years to achieve successful Dan grades and will continue this journey under Shotokan Connect.
